I humbly ate my words after the first quarter of this game after pre-judging a book by it’s cover. Prior to the game someone told me that Fox Chapel had a crazy winning streak but prior to warmups I just didn’t see it. After the tip-off and going into the 2nd quarter I was definitely a believer. Nothing fancy, they just played basic basketball really well, have some good ball handlers, good shooters, great defenders, rebounded well, were overall tough, and they got to the rack pretty much whenever they wanted. Wood started slow and was struggling shooting, but made adjustments and began going to the basket more and that’s when their run came. Overall, this was a great game and I’m glad I chose to cover this one. Next up: WOOD vs ROMAN CATHOLIC (6A STATE FINAL)
