NEUMANN GORETTI vs BISHOP MCDEVITT (MILIK GANTZ vs LAMARR KIMBLE) Class AAA Quarterfinal (3/13/15)
- Updated: March 15, 2015
Big Star & Raw Sports presents the PIAA Class AAA Quarterfinal featuring BISHOP MCDEVITT (Harrisburg) vs NEUMANN GORETTI (Philly). This game took place on 3/13/15 at Reading High School. This was one of the most exciting state playoff games that Big Star has experienced in a long time. It was filled with current and future Division I talent. This was also an opportunity for Big Star’s pick for “Best High School Point Guard” in Pennsylvania, MILIK GANTZ (Bishop McDevitt) to prove himself to the world. If there were any non-believers that Milik was one of the top point guards, if not the top in PA, i’m sure there was a difference of opinion in this game. His high level of skill, bball IQ, quickness, court vision, and killer instinct was definitely showcased on this stage, and if Division I programs like PITT, Temple, La Salle, Drexel, and others allow this kid to escape PA and don’t recruit him, then someone’s assistants should be fired. Whoever gives him a shot will be very lucky, he’s special! This game also featured St. Joes Commit Lamarr “Fresh” Kimble who demonstrated just why he’ll be balling for that Hawks in the 2015-16 season. I’m sure it’s no mistake that his game and body resemble one of St. Joes greatest point guards of all time, Jameer Nelson. Other players to watch included McDevitts James Williams (Most Improved Player of the Year), and Kyree Calli (who is one of PA’s best wide receivers), and Mark Ray. Neumann Goretti featured Zane Martin, and 2 of PA’s best sophomores (if not the best), Quade Green, and Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree. Keep It Locked with Big Star & Raw Sports for more coverage on the PIAA state tournament.
