COMPARING PLAYERS TO PROFESSIONAL SPORTS LEGENDS. This is one of the oldest pastimes in sports culture, especially in the barbershops and now social media. We need to chill and let these young high school players and younger just be great and appreciate them for who they are, for the gifts God blessed them to have, and for the legacy and journey they are building for themselves. Some may pan out, some may not. The bar we set with comparisons is tough, especially when hyping players up as “The Next”, and when you go see them for yourself they don’t appear nothing like the NBA or NFL hall of famer people said, only “The Next” player to get subbed out the game.
