This episode of “This Is My Story” featuring Malachi Palmer (Minnesota Mens Basketball) is a special one for so many reasons. First, I’ve known him since middle school. I first interviewed him when he was in 8th grade so it’s great to catch up and see how his journey is unfolding. Second, we still stay in touch so we have rapport outside of the camera. It’s great to continue supporting student athletes along the way, especially when the support is mutual. Malachi has had an amazing journey throughout high school and now college. He’s experienced many of the things you hear about in the basketball culture including being an 8th grade phenom, playing on the national stage in the AAU space, experiencing various high school and playing on the prep level, searching for the right college fit, coaching changes, transfer portal, adversity, mental health in sports, finding who you are outside of basketball, and so much more!
