At these AAU events when most people have their eyes set on the action taking place on the court, it’s the subtle hidden gems for me that are the most priceless. Those moments that weren’t apart of the normal script. The moments when you look over your shoulder and see HS/COLLEGE/NBA LEGEND “PENNY HARDAWAY” sitting next to LARRY BROWN, and JOHN CALIPARI. Those moments are sometimes more memorable than the things taking place on the court. The atmosphere is just as important as the main event.
